A dedicated therapeutic residential program in the Heart of Hampton Roads.
Paramount youth Services is a licensed residential youth service provider in good standing with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). We specialize in therapeutic, community-based programs for court-involved male adolescents.
Our team provides an environment where young men can learn life skills, participate in community programs, and make positive changes in their lives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enable young men to understand and address the issues they are facing and move forward to become successful and productive members of society. PYS provides services to high-risk youth and their families in the least restrictive environment while still being aware and providing for public safety. Our goal is to build and participate in collaborative partnerships with families and child service providers across agencies and disciplines to meet the needs of youths who are at high risk.
Our Vision
Our vision is for high-risk youth with mental and/or behavioral health needs and their families to be healthy productive citizens who have access to a comprehensive integrated system of care that is evidence-based, individual-centered, family-driven, outcome-oriented, and culturally competent.

Paramount Youth Services believe youths and families whose lives are affected by mental illness, intellectual challenges, and behavioral disorders should:

- Be entitled to health, safety, and well-being, free from abuse, neglect,
exploitation, or social stigmas. - Have individualized services.

Goals
- To promote the use of evidence-based practices and expand existing
evidence-based models. - To develop a seamless system of care that integrate services across
disciplines and agencies. - To partner with stakeholders working to improve services to high-risk
youths. - To promote family involvement addressing youth’s issues (when
applicable).
